The exhibition marks a historic anniversary: the first time Luca Massimo Barbero wrote a critical essay on the artist was in 1996—exactly thirty years ago—on the occasion of the exhibition Nunzio at the Galleria Cinquetti in Verona. It is precisely from the accompanying text for the Verona exhibition, written by Barbero, that today’s title, Nunzio. In clamorosa quiete, is taken.
This monographic volume dedicated to the artist is distinguished by its anthological approach: it includes the critical essay, edited by Luca Massimo Barbero and written specifically for this occasion, as well as Barbero’s aforementioned 1996 text. The edition brings together, in great detail, the entirety of the works on display—over 80 color plates—accompanied by numerous installation views and archival photographs.
