"Soma light sculptures are made of glass and polymer skin, completed with compact fluorescent bulbs and ceramics. Soma configurations are made from layered glass filaments. Transparent tinted glass rods, 2 mm thick, are each woven separately. Flame worked glass veins become texture and structure. At a certain moment, slender filaments of clear polymer are sprayed over the surface creating a web-like skin which encapsulates the glass. Soma specificity is the outcome of a 5 years research."
