Luca Caccioni

naugurates on Thursday, March 13, the second chapter of On the Matter, a thematic exhibition, organized and produced by Matteo Lorenzelli with the curatorship of Ilaria Bignotti, that unfolds in the spaces of lorenzelli arte in two exhibition moments, intended to shed light on the declinations and motivations that drive historical and contemporary artists to use one or more materials in their research in an innovative, coherent, reiterated and in some cases even obsessive way.
Following the first track, devoted to artistic investigations from the first half of the 20th century to the postmodern era, the second stage of the exhibition opens the curtain on current artists, many of them mid-career and internationally recognized, but also offers a perspective on some more recent research that nevertheless demonstrates maturity and coherence around the exhibition theme.
The project is accompanied by a catalog published by lorenzelli arte with an essay by Ilaria Bignotti, full of exhibition views of the two shows, in which the artists' works are accompanied by their statements, many of them specially collected, and a selection of critical excerpts.

Con Black & White. La ragione e la passione, la mostra collettiva in apertura il prossimo 21 febbraio, Lorenzelli Arte presenta un' interessante indagine sulle peculiari capacità espressive del bianco e nero proponendo una selezione di maestri che si sono cimentati con questo rigore, indagato, da un lato, con i razionali linguaggi derivanti dall'astrattismo delle avanguardie storiche e, dall'altro, utilizzato da artisti che, pur partendo da presupposti diversi, hanno privilegiato nella loro ricerca l'aspetto lirico e naturalistico.
